How the streak is counted

Counting back from the latest session, the streak accumulates while net flow keeps the same sign (consecutive buying or selling) and resets to zero on a flip. Foreign / trust / dealer are counted separately.

What a streak does and does not tell you

A streak measures one thing: how persistently flow has kept the same direction. That is a structural fact about positioning, useful as context alongside valuation and fundamentals.

It is not a trading signal. A long buying streak carries no guarantee of further upside, and institutional flow can reflect hedging, index rebalancing or arbitrage rather than a directional view. We report the count and let you judge.
