The nine checks

Four profitability signals, three leverage/liquidity signals, two efficiency signals — one point each, max 9. Every score is expandable to see which line item scored.

Why point-in-time scoring matters here

An F-score computed today from restated financials is not the score that was knowable back then. Run a screen historically on restated inputs and you are picking companies partly because of revisions published months later, which is exactly the failure mode the score was designed to avoid.

We support as-of scoring: ask for any historical date and the nine checks are computed from the filings visible on that date. The output drops straight into a backtest without a separate look-ahead audit.

Want the inputs rather than the verdict? The financial ratio time series charts fifty-three ratios per ticker — margins, returns, leverage, growth and a DuPont decomposition — under the same filing-date gate, so the components behind a score can be read quarter by quarter.
