Taiwan 16-Indicator Library — technical, chip, valuation & fundamental in one API
Charting apps show indicators you can only eyeball. The 16-indicator library turns RSI, MACD, KD, Bollinger and OBV — plus chip-flow and valuation indicators charting apps don't have — into a programmable API: deterministic recomputation, open formulas, methodology in every response.
Four families covered
Technical: RSI, MACD, KD, Bollinger, OBV — standard formulas, tunable parameters. Chip flow: institutional cost line, holder concentration, retail-vs-mega divergence. Valuation: PER band, valuation band, yield band. Fundamental: revenue-YoY z-score, margin trend. All deterministically recomputed — same input, same output.
How this differs from a charting app
Indicators in a charting app are pixels. You cannot backtest them, join them to other data, or pipe them into your own system without reimplementing the maths and hoping your version matches.
Here each indicator is a JSON endpoint returning the full series plus the latest value, with the formula and methodology attached to the response. Computation is deterministic: same input, same output, reproducible in a backtest. These are data tools, not buy or sell calls.
One of them is worth opening now: the market margin maintenance ratio is the market-wide leverage cushion that stopped being published as an official statistic. It is rebuilt here from the public daily files and runs unbroken from 2004, with the reconstruction method and its approximations written out on the page. Free, no signup.
Its companion covers the other two dimensions: the market heat dashboard charts day trading share of turnover for both boards since 2014, and the advance-decline line against the weighted index, so a rally that has narrowed to a handful of large caps looks different from one that has not.
