How the lights are set

Deterministic thresholds, identical for every ticker.

01

Pull today's value for seven dimensions

Financial quality, valuation percentile, revenue momentum, ownership concentration, insider pledge ratio, insider disposal filings and buyback announcements — each read from the snapshot series as of the latest date that was actually available.

02

Colour each dimension on its own

Thresholds are hard-coded and identical for every ticker: valuation at or below the 35th percentile is green, at or below the 70th is amber, the rest is red; monthly revenue up 10% or more year on year is green, flat to up is amber, down is red. Any change between today and tomorrow comes from the data, never from a tuned parameter.

03

Missing means grey, not guessed

When a dimension has no available data it gets a grey light and the words "No data" — never a peer median or a stale carry-forward. Tickers where all seven are grey get no checkup page at all.

04

No composite score

We deliberately do not compress seven lights into one number. The weighting scheme is itself an investment view, and burying it inside a single score makes the decision for you. That is not our call to make.

Terms in plain English

Traffic light
In short: where one dimension sits against its own history or the market. Green is relatively positive, amber neutral, red worth a look, grey no data. What it cannot tell you: whether to buy or sell, or which of the seven lights matters most.
F-score
In short: how many of a set of profitability and quality checks the company passes. What it cannot tell you: anything that happened after the latest filing it is built from.
Valuation percentile
In short: where the P/E ranks across the whole market. What it cannot tell you: whether cheap is cheap for a reason — a low percentile is not the same as undervalued.
Ownership concentration
In short: the weekly change in the share held by holders of 1,000 lots or more. What it cannot tell you: who is buying or selling — the disclosure carries ratios, never identities.
Insider pledge ratio
In short: how much of directors' holdings is pledged as loan collateral. What it cannot tell you: what the borrowing is for; a high ratio is not automatically financial distress.
Insider pre-declaration
In short: filings declaring an intent to sell holdings into the market. What it cannot tell you: whether the sale happened — a declaration is intent, not outcome.

What this page can and cannot answer

A combined view is the easiest thing to misread as advice, so the boundary comes first.

It can answer
Where each of the seven dimensions stands on its latest available figure, which date that figure became available, and which dimensions have no data at all — a grey light is information, not a blank.
It cannot answer
Whether to buy, what a fair price is, or how many green lights count as a pass. The seven lights carry no weights, because a weighting is an investment view rather than a fact about the data.
Why there is no total score
Compressing seven dimensions into one number decides for you how many times more valuation matters than ownership. We do not have that ratio and will not pretend to.
Lights move at different speeds
The dimensions update on different clocks: financials quarterly, revenue monthly, holder brackets weekly, pledges monthly. Today's red light may simply be one source refreshing. The checkup date is the as-of version.

What we publish is data and tooling — not investment advice, not stock picks, and no promise of returns. Every figure is either an official public source reproduced as published, or a derivation we document well enough for you to recompute it. What you trade on it is your call. The lights locate each dimension against history. They carry no weighting and add up to no score.

FAQ

What is a stock checkup?

Seven public-disclosure dimensions for one Taiwan-listed ticker — financial quality, valuation percentile, revenue momentum, ownership concentration, insider pledge ratio, insider disposal filings and buybacks — each reduced to a traffic light and one plain sentence, on a single page.

Do the lights tell me to buy or sell?

No. Each light says where one dimension sits against its own history or against the market, computed from public filings. There is no composite score and no weighting, because the weighting would be an investment view rather than a fact about the data.

What does a grey light mean?

That dimension has no available data for this ticker — no monthly pledge filing, no holder-bracket series, and so on. We show it as grey rather than filling the gap with a peer median or a stale value. If all seven dimensions are grey the page is not published.

How current are the figures?

Every figure is the version that was publicly available on the checkup date, never a later restatement backfilled into the past. The dimensions refresh on their own schedules: financials quarterly, revenue monthly, holder brackets weekly.

Is it free?

Yes. The checkup is open for all 2,223 tickers in the snapshot universe, with no signup and no key. What the paid tiers add is depth rather than breadth: the checkup shows today's available version, while historical vintages let you pull the checkup as it stood on any past date, and programmatic access raises the request quota.
