Earnings call summaries

An hour-long call, and no hour to spend on it.

Taiwan companies present to institutions every quarter and the deck lands in the public record, which is where the forward-looking part of the story usually shows up first. This page turns each of those into a fixed set of fields — reporting period, guidance horizon, the direction management pointed revenue and margins, how the commentary read — so a quarter can be compared against the last one instead of re-read.

40,397 structured cards on file across 2,281 tickers · the date shown is the day the deck first appeared in the public record, which is an honest upper bound and not the date the call was held · a field left blank is a field the deck did not state, and it stays blank · these are structured derivations produced by this site, not company statements · source: Taiwan official exchange public data (GODL v1).
What we publish is data and tooling — not investment advice, not stock picks, and no promise of returns. Every figure is either an official public source reproduced as published, or a derivation we document well enough for you to recompute it. What you trade on it is your call. A structured summary is a derivation produced here, not a company statement. Where a decision matters, read the original filing.

How it is built

The separation that matters on this page is between what a company said and what we did to it. Both are labelled.

01

The source is the filed deck

Presentations and transcripts come from the official public disclosure record, and each card carries the date the document first appeared there. That date is an upper bound on when the information became public, not a claim about when the call took place.

02

A language model fills a fixed schema

The long-form text is read into predetermined fields — reporting period, guidance horizon, direction of revenue and margins, capital spending, tone — so quarters line up against each other. The schema is fixed in advance; the model chooses values, never the shape.

03

Every card is labelled as a derivation

Cards are marked as structured summaries produced by this site rather than company statements, alongside the extraction confidence and whether the guidance was quantified. Presenting a model's reading as a company's own words would be the serious error here.

04

Nothing is invented to fill a gap

A field the deck did not address stays empty, and a company without a filed deck returns nothing rather than a generated summary. The commentary fields written in the original language are deliberately not translated into this page — a machine translation of a paraphrase is two removes from what was actually said.

Terms

Four terms used above:

Earnings call
A company's quarterly presentation to institutional investors. In short: where management explains the results and, more usefully, what they expect next.
Guidance
Management's own statement about future revenue or profit. In short: the company's estimate of its next quarter, which markets react to more sharply than the results just reported.
Structured
Free-form text mapped into fixed fields. In short: the difference between an essay and a table — one is read, the other is compared.
Extraction confidence
How clearly the deck stated the field. In short: a low reading means the source was vague, so treat the row as a pointer to the original rather than a fact.

Where the line is

Two limits are worth stating plainly. The first is that a summary is a compression, and compression loses the hedge — a management team saying demand is strong subject to three conditions can appear here as revenue pointing higher, and the conditions are the part that mattered. The confidence field exists to mark where that risk is highest. The second is timing: the date on each card is when the document first appeared in the public record, which can lag the call itself, so this is a research and comparison tool rather than a way to trade a print. Guidance is also a forecast made by people with an interest in how it is received, and it is revised.

FAQ

Who writes these summaries?

The source documents are the presentations and transcripts in the official public disclosure record. A language model reads each one into a fixed schema of fields defined in advance. Every card is labelled as a structured derivation produced by this site rather than a company statement.

What happens when a company has no filed deck?

Nothing is returned for it. No card is generated, and no field is filled with a plausible guess. The same applies within a card: a field the deck did not address stays empty.

What is guidance?

Management's own statement about expected future revenue or profit. It moves prices more than the results just reported, and it is worth remembering that it is a forecast made by people with an interest in how it lands, and that it gets revised.

Is the date on the card the date of the call?

No, and the distinction is deliberate. It is the day the document first appeared in the public record, which is an honest upper bound on when the information became public. Treating it as the call date would overstate how quickly the data is available.

Why are some fields blank or marked low confidence?

Because the deck did not state them clearly. Blank means the source was silent; low confidence means it was vague enough that the extraction should be treated as a pointer to the original document rather than a fact in its own right.
